WASH – Clean Water and Hygiene Program – [Revamp]

What is WASH?

Donate Now

We use water for everything. Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘By means of water, we give life to everything’ (Qur’an, 21:30). 1

Communities who don’t have access to clean water face unimaginable hardships. For example, women and children in Bangladesh walk for hours to collect even a little water. These are families that are unable to support themselves due to the lack of education and livelihood. Having access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene is a basic human right. Fulfilling this right is an excellent Sadaqah Jariyah (Perpetual Charity)

BDesh Foundation’s WASH program aims to provide new tube wells, proper restroom facilities, and special shower facilities for women and adolescent girls with proper privacy in remote villages, Slumps, and Rohingya camps in Bangladesh. Check our program details below.

THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK HAS PLACED AMERICA’S HOMELESS POPULATION AT RISK. PLEASE DONATE TO PROVIDE FRESH, HEALTHY MEALS TO THOSE IN NEED.

The Coronavirus epidemic has shifted the world as we know it.
While many of us are able to be quarantined at home, there’s one sector of the country that does not have that privilege: the homeless population.
Doctors state that more than half a million homeless people are at higher risk of catching and dying from the Coronavirus.

  • 200+ homeless individuals sleep in closed quarters at homeless shelters in the Washington, DC metro area. While others are out on the streets.
  • The majority of them are over 50 years old putting them at a higher risk than almost any other group.

With your $10 donation, we can provide hot meals to feed over 1,000 homeless individuals in the DC area through our Serve A Meal program.
